Would a driveshaft problem cause.....

   Would a worn driveshaft(s) cause a loose clonk sound when re-engaging the clutch on gear changes? Mostly in lower torquys gears like 1st to 2nd.
   
   
   As I have a slight knock on full lock when on full lock reverse parking etc which I believe to be related. just wondered if it was related to this as well.

   sounds like a driveshaft yeah but could be other things
   
   get under the car and give both driveshafts a good tug

   worn gearbox mount and worn shafts will make noise. I got loads of slack in my driveshafts, it's a job for another day though.

   In what direction would they be slack. Didnt have much time yesterday but whacked up a corner and gave the wheel a wobble and it felt solid with no play

   Id check the driveshaft tbh, did i onmine and turned out it was the intermediate bearing part
   
   but as said check the mounts first

   Replaced the ECU mount a month back as the bolt snapped. Looked at the gear box and lower one and they were both secure and tight.
   
   
   What am I looking for signs of the the shafts if they are faulty if I get under the car?

   jack it up, leave it out of gear and check to see if its squeeking/clunking when you rotate it
   
   will more than likely be were the boots are as thatswere the joints etc are
   
   check on the drivers side the intermediate bearing, there will be a metal cylinder and a bit along from that it will be hanging into a bracket, there is a bearing in there

   They are sealed arnt they? So if somethings a miss you replace the whole lot?
