sounds like your getting around 30mpg. which is a little low man. was it town driving or motorway stuff?

On town driving citroen reckon it can get as low as 34mpg so it may down to: short journeys (the engine wont get warmed up), start/stop traffic, or because it buggered.

Check your air filter and tyre pressures.

sounds the same as mine mate, i put 10s in every 3 days an get about 100 miles outa that. maybe your too heavy footed

    £20 / £ 0.85 (average price per gallon)
    =24 litres of fuel

therefore, your fuel consumption is 26.5 miles per gallon which seems right to me.

*edit* rethinking the rest because it turned out wrong lol.

    ok ignore that

    £20 / £ 0.90 (average price per gallon)
    =22.22 litres of fuel

therefore, your fuel consumption is 28.6 miles per gallon which still seems about right to me.

its only a 1.1 tho i used to get more i was drivin half m way and half city

Yeah its bit low. Your injection system could be knakered - but doubt this if its just gone for its service. Stick some additive stuff in your next tank to clean the fuel system out. and see if the results inprove.

Also your driving style might not be 'eco friendly'.

£20 in my old vtr would have seem at least 200 miles regardless of town or city driving
  10. #10
well my vtr costs about £33 to fill (optimax) and ill get 285-300 miles. Im more than happy with that and like you say scott i can boot as much as i like.

xcorix, just be happy its not a 600bhp skyline, my mate gets about 12-16 to the gallon.

i get round 40mpg and thats a 1.6 and town driving, i dont see how 28mpg on a 1.1 is good

30 quid lasts me at least 300 miles
  12. #12
Well £20 lasts me 160 - 170 of town driving and to fill up from red light to full it cost £37.52 the other dau, which will last 300 miles.

Not bad on a 1.4. Better than my old Micra 1.0.
