Important! : Feul pump continues when ignition off!!

   saxo 1.6 VTS-when i turn my igniton off, the fuel pump continues to come on (vibrating noice 3-4 secs) numerous times, even when the key is out. i was told this builds up fuel pressure & causes it to flood her self. resulting in the car struggling to start on occassions and run awfull for a short time after.
   
   all electronics came up ok on the computer, and was told by a mechanic its either the ecu, or simply an ignition switch problem. i took the ignition switch out, and disconnected the wires, but the fuel pump remained working!!
   
   i dont know what to try next!
   
   any suggestions?

   Have you got a wiring diagram?
   - Can you find where the fuel pump is fed from?
   - What else is on the same circuit, if anything?
   - Are those things working ok?
   
   Also, see if you can find the earth for the fuel pump. If this is iffy, the pump maybe earthing through something else causing the issue.

   i just left it into cireon today, they said the fuel pump is fine, and they think its somthing to do with the imobilizer. im just hoping its not a bit job!!
