How hard is to pull out Inlet manifold and clean it. Is it hard job or job for mechanic? I see that this causes many starting problems and also slower speed in Saxo.

#2yeh i wanted to do this aswell.im good at remembering things and once ive done it its piss to do it again.is it easy or??
-
#3And what engine is it?
As the vtr engine, is only 5 bolts to take the inlet off.
Pretty simples tbh. Just a abit of a pain to get the 2 bolts out from the bottom of the back.
But once you have taken it off once, you'll remember where u can and cant get your socket to.
Theres a few sensors to unplug etc (make sure you unplug the battery before doing so). -
#4Well i took my inlet off 4 times last week, Because vtrs are ghey, and the inlet manifold is in the way to tighten the spark plugs up.Quote:yeh i wanted to do this aswell.im good at remembering things and once ive done it its piss to do it again.is it easy or??
15-20 mins jobbie.
Disconnect battery.
Rip air pipes off,
Take the air box off,
unclip 3 sensors (one inbetween the inlet pipes),
unclip vaccumm pipe at back,
Take throttle cable off,
5 bolts on back of inlet,
Then its off.
10mm socket + 10mm spanner + Flathead screwdriver = all needed tools.

oops, sorry and theirs a bracket that holds teh inlet to the block. This is a torx bolt. -
#5Figured out now. It was the valves issue all the time. Now it starts better than other cars I see around.
-
#6It will cost you around some 185 Euros for that to be fixed.
