refurbing alloys haha read before jumping on

    ok do u spray the insides of the wheels as in where the brakes wouls sit? as i can;t see the back of mine and the backs are filthy with gods knows what and will take years to sad down. unless u guys got a good product to clear the crap off, tried wonder wheels which shifted a little bit.

    just keep wonder wheels-ing and pressure washing it all mate

    so u do spray insides then? once they look a bit better then rub em down with sand paper

    yeah spray the whole wheel mate, not worth doing half a job lol

    i did mine mate gave them a good spraying with billberry juice wheel cleaner left it for 5 mins then gave them a good scrubbing rinsed them then a quick rub with wet and dry primer then paint

    imo it looks gash when the inside is a different colour.

    cheers guys. i'm assuming i use just normal halfords laquar and not some special stuff too?

    just checking as there might be some special wheel laquar thats harder wearing or something. seen some halfords special alloy colour spray, thinking getting this not to sure colour tho alloy or silver? anyone used this stuff

    When I've refurbed wheels before, I've cleaned them as best as poss before hand, to try and shift brake dust etc, but what proves to be too stubborn just comes up when you sand them down ready for paint anyways.

    any stubborness was just shifted with the god ole wire brush in electric drill.

    try an get hold of some brick acid mate gets absoloutely everything of just dont leave on more than a few minutes or will eat at the metal before you ask where i got that from i did valeting for a while its a trick of the trade lol for wheels that are well passed there day and they come up new

    If the insides of your wheels are that minging im guessing you havent really cleaned them that much? If so and you dont plan on cleaning the insides going forward whats the point in spraying them?

    eh wtf?
    if u read about 2 comments above it says i cleaned them off with wire brush on electric drill came up lovely. and i brought the wheels second hand so they wer dirty from there

    do people actually clean the inside of there wheels on a regular then? sounds weird
