do you mean bucket seats? or sports seats

for buckets - yeah theyre good, but pointless if your not doing track time

sports seats (recliner seats) - are a lot better than saxo seats, but look crap imo unless you get the whole of your interior trimmed to match

decent VTS seats (airbagged) are pretty good for a french car
  3. #3
ok so what is the difference then between buckets and sports seats lol? x
  4. #4
bucket seats are fixed back, for racing use

sports seats are reclinable, like normal seats but just better made (depending on how much you spend)

Proper bucket seats are mounted firmly in 1 set position which you set up for your own driving position. So theres no ability to fold seat forward to let passengers in and you cant move the seat forwards and backwards without unbolting it.

Recliners are more supportive than standard seats, but you can still get subframes which allow them to adjust forwards and backwards and you can still flip the seat forward to let passengers in the back. Also most have the adjusting knob to adjust the angle of the back of the chair

    Hope that helps Sal

Yeah the sports reclining seats are much easier to cope with practically especially if you have passengers alot

You can still use the standard seatbelt too.

Normally with the full on bucket seats harnesses are the preferred option.

Seats are pretty pricey, you'll need to buy the subframes for the seats aswel so generally thats another £100ish on top of the cost of the seats themselves

Expensive, but much much better than the standard seats

Try essex racing they got some fairly cheap reclining 1s on there.

sal.. i think you should just lower it, nice wheels, maybe some pug 106 gti leather(200-300 quid) nice interior aswell and then just make it tidy.. maybe tint the front lights etc but nothing major no point having buckets in a 1.4 when you can get some half leather interior, sound system and make it a nice tidy subtle example + when you come to selling you wont have lost much monies
