O.k. Guys been thinking which performance route to take the saxo down, N/A or forced. Now iv decided to go for supercharging. Not interested in turbo as i wouldnt feel comfortable with it on track tbh. Now basically im looking for people who have had thier cars supercharged. Im looking for costs, im looking for a build producing around 250-270bhp but reliable. i obviously know i will be looking at pretty much a full rebuild with low comp pistons uprated crank, possibly uprated valves as well? How much would i be looking at. Obviously im not looking at a cheap build i will spend whatever it takes to see reliable power. So yeah basically anybody got any experience of an engine with this spec and the costs involved. Thankyou.
Supercharging.

#3Not meaning to sound like a cunt bud, but search as theres already loads of threads on this and the guys that have charged their spaxos have already put a lot of detailed input into them many times, most of them dont come on a lot either so youll get a lot of 'forum knowledge' speak rather than actual knowledge from charged owners. Also give GMC a ring as theyre the only place to take it for charging if youve got a TU.

#4Lol dont worry, you dont mate. Tottally know what your saying man. I have looked on GMC's site but obviously i would imagine they would take each build as a seperate build. Only thing that would be problem is getting car to scotland then picking it up, suppose hassle would be worth it though haha.Quote:Not meaning to sound like a cunt bud, but search as theres already loads of threads on this and the guys that have charged their spaxos have already put a lot of detailed input into them many times, most of them dont come on a lot either so youll get a lot of 'forum knowledge' speak rather than actual knowledge from charged owners. #6GMC are the people to talk to, speak to john there he will batter your brain about things

#7Just a basic charger conversion using low compression pistons, standard crank and top end with standalone, 4 larger injectors and intercooler/decend radiator should get you pretty close to 250bhp mate. Seen quite a few running the Rotrex .74 or .84 chargers with over 220bhp at the wheels this way.
Then the only real costs are the charger kit and injectors and coolers (as per GMC website), and the standalone plus the mapping.
As said above, GMC are really the only people to talk to when it comes to supercharging a saxo. -
#8Yup GMC really know what there talking about when it comes to supercharging the Saxo. I would be happy to recommend them to anyone.

#9Looking at this video of a 106 with a rotex charger.

Its says on his comments that its cost around £7500 in all, including buying and getting it all fitted.
Is that roughly how much it costs? -
#10Probably not far off if buying everything new.

#11Will probably give GMC a ring in the morning and hopefully speak to John and see how much im looking at for everything in. Cheers guys.
