FAO Lower Strut Brace Owners

I'm just wondering how low you are, and if you have any clearance issues on speedbumps/uneven roads/high manhole covers/pot holes etc. etc.?

Planning ahead for a VTS, just wondering what the lowest i could get away with and have a lower brace fitted, but not bash it on every speedbump or bump in the road.

    Cheers in advance.

Had an OMP lower strut brace on my old VTR (40mm down) and on my current car (~35mm down). No problems at all if you take your time over speed bumps. Hits the deck on the MOT rolling brake tester though.

never really had a problem with mine when i was down 40mm etc

Just go steady over speed bumps/shite in the middle of the road, and dont park one side of the car up a curb and shit.

Oh and road kill i normally skim that if its already dead, split a live rabbit in half ones with a lower brace.

    Im down 50mm.

Only scrapped the speed bumps where the wheels go both sides of the bump (stupid design) and on bumpy back roads if ive been going a bit quick.

+1 on the road kill and stuff in the road!

all my cars have been down around 50mm and with lower braces they were fine for most use

the only one i had issues with was when i reverse rakesd my gti 50-70 on 1.1 front springs (so they probably went about 55-60 it hit a few things then

So i should be fairly alright down to about -50mm, with just a bit a scrapping on some speedbumps/bumpy back roads?

Can live with a little be of scrapping, just don't want to bash the fook out of the brace and the car everytime i go near anything remotely bumpy
