Can someone please tell me if the GMax shock absorbers are any good? And also if the EBC drilled and grooved discs are any good also.

Dont bother with drilled at all!
Just get plain disks, the group n ones from maxtorq at rallyedesign are good value.
Team them up with mintex 1144s from the same place.
    Wont go wrong.
Spax are a good base shock though some dont like then.
Koni or bilstein are a better option

I had a look on rallyedesign and all they do are the vts brakes. would these still fit my vtr or not?

there are two types of brake pad on the vtr. Most have the same brakes as the vts though.
