Seat Dying ? It it possible

   Well i have an idea and i want to know if it is even feesable
   
   i want to take out my seats strip off and strip off the faric (easy enuf)
   
   then bleach them white and then dye them Silver
   
   wash them and put back on the seats
   
   i have sum concerns tho!
   
   
   dying fabric isnt hard its the leatherette im worried about
   
   what do you think will happen when i bleach that with it and then dye it
   
   do you think it will fall apart or just go manky!
   
   and will it actually be a good finish?
   
   ive got mk2 vtr seats so there not furry like mk1's so i dont see the fabric being a problem
   
   if its possible ill do it and then make a tut to be added to the sticky's
   
   
   let me know your views on this?

   get a spare one to test it on first id say as the bleach you would need to use would have to be super stregnth and mayt eat the leatherette

   i work in a chem factory making bleach and swarfega so getting it strong enuf isnt a problem lol

   you could always price up having them re-trimed. Or if you got a air compressor and your pretty good with fabrics you could strip your seats and re-trim yourself. or have a look on ebay see if there are any cheap buckets around? mates just got some red leather for a corsa with subs on £100. depends if your on a tight budget tho

   naa im not on a tight buget to be fair i just like cost effective mods that really improve the look of the car, eg laguna splitter, painting console , lowering etc
   
   
   what were the french thinking when they did that funky va va voom interior for the vtr,
   
   the seats are good and comfy but dog ugly , mite do fabric spray paint instead now found out if you bleach dark fabric you cant dye it so its pointless now,
   
   fabric spray paint FTW i think, Buckets later i wanna do other things to my car first :-)
   
   do you know if raceland seats are any comfy?
