Just got home had a little run in with a black clio 182, thought he would leave me for dead but i got in front stayed in front and by the time 120 popped up had a car and a half on him!

#5I dont like the fact your happy you raced on a public road where other car's could have been or even people, if you had had a crash u would have died or killed some1 else.
However on the point i have had a 182 clio and iv compared that to my cammed VTS and i agree i am suprised that i feel my saxo to be quicker then the clio. Clio 182's hit the power band at 5000rpm which isnt good as the lowwer end is slow. -

#7i too had a 182, was a cup innit, pile of poo under 5k and felt like i was driving a bus with the big arse steering wheel and high seating position. not particularly relevant i suppose but its my 1p worth.

#16I'd rather get in the trophy and drive it than any saxo/106 of any spec(inc boosted, tb'd etc)
And as for street racing, some threads are hillarious. Say one person put their foot down one second before the other, then there would be an instant advantage. Say one person was in the wrong gear for optimal acceleration when the rolling race started? There are so many variables. That's why street racing unless properly organised on closed areas of industrial estate, is pointless and inconclusive.

#28I've raced clio 182s on the quarter mile and beat them and my car is a cammed vts so I doubt you would go past them unless you have a similar spec.
