i am thinning of doin a engine conversion if it possiable a vtr to a piscasso engine if it is able 2 be done and wot would i need 2 do with wiring etc
vtr 2 picasso

#1
-
#2it depends which picasso
iirc some run the same engine as a vtr some are a 2 litre which will be a snug fit with a lot of custom work -
#3can i ask why ?
surely the picasso engine will be crazy heavy for a vtr ? -
#4no i dont fink it will be to heavy and because they come out the factory with 150bhp the i can mess around with it and have sum fun
-
#5yea but its a much bigger engine manQuote:no i dont fink it will be to heavy and because they come out the factory with 150bhp the i can mess around with it and have sum fun
it is a fair bit heavier and will compromise the handeling aswell as needing custom driveshafts and mounts ect to get it working its not a straigrt swap -
#6Surely it would be easier, cheaper and better just to modify the vtr engine
-
#7VTS engine breathed on with cams and a remap will be around 150bhp, and is lighter than the picasso engine.
-
#8Best Upgrade for the money is a VTS engine IMO
-
#9Do none of the Picasso range run the JP4 lump?
Not up on my people carriers -
#10Woah, engine will be huge mate
That'll be tight fit.. if it fits! -
#11if you fancy going bigger, do it properly! If insurance allows try a 3.0 litre V6 from a 406 coupe. The engines are around £350ish now, and fit inside the engine bay of 205's so probably a saxo aswell.
Plus its an alloy block and so is relatively light when compared to steel counterparts such as gti-6 engine!
