Important! : SOLVED/FIXED No Dipped Beam?!

  1. #1
    Afternoon all...
Straight to the point, i have no dipped beams, they randomly stopped working yet the main beam on the bulbs still work and sidelights work, have tried two sets of bulbs, changed the fuses and listened for relay click, have had a scan at the main wiring and thats all fine, and done the good old wiggle everything about to see if it comes back on!

Anyone have any ideas? I'm desperate, typical the early dark nights have come and my dips dont work!

Big thanks for anyone who can help!

Have you got a multimeter? Get one across the terminals for the lights, and cross the fuse terminals to see if theyre getting supplied.

Also have you changed your back bulbs recently? Putting single core bulbs in the back lights can fuck up the fronts sometimes.

My dads got one somewhere, ill go have a scout and check now. Cheers bud.

No the back bulbs ain't been touched, just upgraded the standard bulbs to Xenons about a week a go.

well, ive tested the relays, its all cool, so it at the moment it appears to be the switch. Going to try and fit a new one, and will update with my findings

Stebbsy: when you put your dips on, do you get the icon on the dash? If you don't it could be the switch too.

For anybody who has a similar problem, for me it was the switch/stalk! I now have my dipped beams again (i fitted my own switch as a temporary fix)
