#2bad idea. what part of your car mainly gets stonechips?
this will show up really badly on vinyl -
#3Never thought about that really, mine was resprayed in july and tbh i haven't noticed any stone chips on the paint might be due to the fact i dont clock up a lot of miles tho.
-
#4got my bonnet done in vinyl m8, hasnt got any stone chips yet, and the roads round here are quite shit... your local sign writting shop will be the best bet to go, not sure on the price tho , differnt places will vary.

#5That looks good mate, similar thing to what i want, black vinyl with some kinda of white style like cheques or diamonds etc. How much did that cost mate if you dont mind me asking.
-
#645 quid from my local shop
really easy to clean aswell, just wipe it with a cloth
-
#7thats quite good tbh, did you fit it yourself or did the shop fit it?
I'm guessing its harder to put vinyl on a mk2 saxo because of its shape and hole for the grill
I have no idea if anywhere around here does vinyl stuff. -
#9I keep thinking i want a black bonnet...the viynl one looks ace!
And not a bad price tbh!
-
#10sweet i like that idear...but i got a black vtr?!?!??

#11here's one of my show cars before and after - full side wrap

-
#12Bet thats not cheap? looks good
-
#13That looks really good.
Still deciding what to have, because i dont want something really in your face. My car is black too.
Any opinions? -
#14with a vinyl wrapped bonnet do you still clean it like you usually would? would the shampoo mark it or anything?

Has anyone got pictures of carbon fibre vinyl bonnets or alike? If it looks pretty realistic i might be tempted ! -
#18that looks good crazyphil. Where you located?
-
#19leicestershire.
if a good vinyl is used (we use a 10 year) then you can wax the vinyl just like paint
btw I do a lot of work for main BMW MINI dealers but other cars too - we did the Need For Speed Shift promo 350Z a few weeks ago - awesome !!!
But in general you only have t o consider 2 things regarding putting vinyl on your car:
1. Ho creative you want to be
2. How much ££££ you want to spend
we do stuff for the MINI from £4.50 right up to £2k and every price point inbetween.
A full Saxo wrap to just change the color would be approx £1200 +VAT fully fitted - what a full respray would be ???
If you wanted a design printed into the wrap the price goes up according to the level of creative required but average would be £1500-£1800 +VAT.
A bonnet wrap wuold be approx £90+VAT -
#20Mate of mine has got carbon look bonnet and roof. Looks really good actually.
We've got the facilities to do it at my work and can do full car wrapping aswll.
As can be seen on all of the car on MTV viva show 'Slips'. Wait for the next episodes to be on tv, there are some funky wraps gong on! -
#21on wheeler-dealers they wrapped a mini (city i think) in carbon fibre looked sweet can't find any pics tho
