hi all just a quick one really , i got my 1.3 rallye box going on soon ,i understanf these are excellent boxes with the shorter ratios. i dont know wether to buy a lightened and balance flywheel whilst the box is off . would this be a good idea pairing it up with the rallye box?
1.3 rallye box and lightned fly??

#2Logically it makes sense to get things like changes to the flywheel and clutch while the box is off.
Saves you taking it off again at a later date.
Would you get your flywheel L&B or buy one off the shelf. I cant tell a huge amout of difference with lightened standard one. -
#3yer thats what im thinking to get clutch and that fly with box off , i will buy a proper make flywheel , machining doen standard ones can be made dangerous and do some damage

#4Rallye box is all fun and games till you go in a straight line

#5I was thinkin right, are westcoast flywheels smaller? couse they use a 180mm clutch. so therefore lighter and easier to get going, so you could get a lightended n balnced 1.4 westcoast flywheel which would be a lot lighter, then get a fast road 1.4 180mm clutch to take up the extra umpth and it should be quicker and abit of difference over the 200mm VT flywheel etc

#6If its machined by somebody who knows what they are doing then there wont be an issue mate..

#7cheers for info guys , if i were to get a uprated fly for me vts are there any good brands?

#8fidanza or Helix - shade under 3kg's

#9Get a Lightened flywheel + Lighter crank pulley aswell, but i think it will reduce your torque?
-
#10rsllye boxes use the same ratios as any other sports box..
they just have a different final drive. -
#11I dont think the lightness has anything to do with torque figures. Mine just rev's a hell of a lot quicker with the lightweight flywheel (2.8-3kgs)
With a S1 rallye box on there it'll zip through the gears
