running rich

   is there any reason my engine would run rich? i mean is there any specific sensors etc the are directly related to mixture? im not sure myself but sometimes get the od wiff of fuel in the fumes!?

   could be split in the inlet, faulty temperature sensor, lambda - might be best to plug it into diagnostics at garage

   whats the best way diagnose it then mate? is there ones to check first etc!?

   the garage can plug your car in and tell you the error code that's come up, if any.
   
   Could just be the cold weather?

   Be careful though as a car running rich can destroy the cat and lamba sensor, diagnostic check would be my first thing to do. Should be about £30.
