Few problems after fitting my raceland manifold

   hi, recently fitted my raceland manifold to my mk2 vtr which has decated it, i have a few problems. i have fitted one lamba sensor but cannot fit the top one as there is no where to fit it. here are my problems
   
   1. my exhaust is smoking out alot of black smoke and smells like petrol, is this because there is no cat to trap any fumes or something?
   
   2. my car idles poorly and when driving at 40 in 5th or crusing in other gears my car kangaroos, why is this?
   
   3. where do i plug the plug that i took out when i changeed my fuel filter to the mk1? or does it have to stay out?

   why would you alter the fuel filter?? Do you mean oil filter??
   
   
   Have to tried re-setting the ecu?

   Give john at gmc a call they sell the sleave for the second lambda just screw it on and tie it up in engine bay that will fool the car in to thinking its fitted and should fix your problems

   yh sorry i ment oil filter, does anyone know where i need to put the plug now?

   so you got the bottom lambda in??? but nowhere for the top lambda to go????? the top lambda is the most important out of the two it must be in the mani for the car to run right.......

   yeah put top lambda in, there is enough wire if you reroute the wire round the other side of the gearbox or something iirc.
   you then need to sleeve the second lamda (see gmc for a sleeve).
   then your car wont run like a sack of poop, as said top lambda is the vital one.

   hmm sounds the same as my problems. i dont have a second lambda plugged into my loom at all, could that be it?

    I bought my car with a raceland manifold, and the second lamba sensor was not plugged into anything, was hanging in my cold air intake. I had to get the garage where i had my exhaust fitted to fit it properly and welded into correct place.
    
    It still runs boggy and white smoke, but thats because it needs remapping after being cammed.
