spare plugs behind the centre console

  1. #1
just pulled my centre console out to replace some bulbs, and noticed a spare grey multiplug coming off the same loom as the hazards and demister - whats it for? I dont have any unused or broken switches.

also noticed a smaller spare plug (about 20mm x 4mm) which is yellow and black, and has three female ports..

any ideas? they some seem to fit shit.

its probably for the likes of a vts alarm
just saves them having 5 or 6 different types of loom for the range of cars

ye would most likely be the same loom from a vts. they have an alarm led i think, and also a switch where you can turn off the passenger airbag

    aircon

Most likely to be for the alrm to turn the proximity sensors off

either that or aircon, but that was more for abroad models or could even be for the passener airbag

Yeah thats standard on all models behind the blanks, i got on my furio too.

And very handy if they`ve got power to them because you might be able to use the them as power for upgrades, just a thought.

^ What i thought, Citroen may not have had it in mind but its convinient if your planning on using the button spaces for something.

Funny you said that actually because my Desire has an immobiliser and the light on the dash is suppost to come on when active but it doesnt. Any ideas?

From what i remember the little key logo should light up and go out on your dadhboard (bottom left) when you put the key to position 2
  12. #12
Ill give that a check, but the light does nothing?

yeahh it flashes once quickly when you start the car, it will only come on if you use the wrong key, and the car wont start
