#2sure its a dumpvalve rather than wastegate chatter?
-
#3wont be dumping the air quickly enuf, so boost is hitting the turbo imprellor.
Mine did this will all piston dump valves so have had to use a diaphragm one -
#4has it always dont that? or just recently started? check that the pipe from the dumpvalve to the inlet manifold is on properly, isnt blocked and isnt cheap tubing that closes up when its put inder suction
-
#5nah its just the way it is i only fitted the turbo kit on wednesday and then broke the mushroom cap so only got it running sunday so not long.. ill have to check the vacume pipe.. not keen on the chatter id much prefer the ttssshhhh.
-
#6whats it boosting at? may not be opening properly because the diaphram is rated for higher boost, so just opening and closing very quikcly. most likely its not opening atall and its the air hitting the impellar blades
-
#7wish my car went tttssssshhhhhh
-
#9dam this thread, its made me put my old dump valve back on for chatter lol
-
#10there a waste of money anyway, get a recirc valve on it, youll still hear the tsshh noise if you have a open filter on, plus the benefit of keeping the spool going and preventing stall
