Engine cut out!?

Hey all,

Was driving to the hospital this morning to see my 2 day old daughter

and hit a pot hole (on the left side) at about 20mph..

Engine cut its self out so i rolled to a little side road where i lifted the bonet to have a quick look and everything looked ok ? tried to start it nothing happend.. made sure all the wires were in etc and tried again.. nothing

I left it about 10 mins and tried it again and it fired, it's working perfectly now but has anyone any idea what might have happend ?

As you know from my sig at the bottom ive got 17x215x40 wheels on it and i think its been dropped 40-50mm all round so theres only about an inch from the top of the tyre to the wheel arch (which has now cracked

) so im wondering whether its damaged anything?

the only think i could think of is the fuel cut off, which is the red button near the bonnet prop location, but i cant understand why it would do that...

That makes sense actually.. i didnt know that was a fuel cut off m8.. but i did press the top of it and then i left it 10 mins and it fired ?

I bet thats what happend! It was a right big bang when i hit the pot hole so it may have cut out thinking i crashed or something ?

the fuel cut off has tripped on my car from hitting a pothole so i guess it could be that.

OK cool.. as long as theres nothing wrong with my car.. apart from the cracked arch underneath
