Depends what engine you want to put in, if you want it as a cheep run about you can get 1.1 engines for practically nothing, vtr's for £100+ and vts for 150+

If you didnt want to tackle it yourself there are a few companys which will do the conversion for you, ricky-rpm, hiflowheads. Ring around at a few garages to get some prices.

But then if your at uni, do you really need a car?

you say the brake resevior? why you changing the engine?

xsi engines go for cheap, and are much better than the vtr lump so i'd rather stick with tht

The brake fluid reservoir and the servo behind it are stricly bolt on and bolt off jobbies - piece of piss to change yourself and should be no more than an hours labour at a garage.

To do the job youll have to unbolt the brake pipes from the master cylinder, which would lead to getting the brakes bled in the end - not a problem, about £20 from any garage.

Theres a bolt that goes from the back of the servo (the round black thing at the back of the master cylinder) to the brake pedal. Disconnect this first.

Unbolt the master cylinder from the servo after taking off the brake pipes from the master cylinder. Then youll be able to remove the servo also, which as the internals are all rubber may have been damaged. You could strip it down and inspect it but you might as well replace it.

A second hand master cylinder (the metal thing the brake fluid reservoir sits on top of) and a servo should be about £20 to £30.

Also bear in mind that if you intend on buying it you would have to do the above before you drive it away.
You could get away with driving it on spongy brakes and the handbrake before bleeding the brakes for a few miles but i would get it booked in to the nearest garage to where its for sale and then drive home from there.

Make sure you get a new master cylinder and servo first like, i sure its two 13-14mm bolts
