ABS Light and Brake Warning Light on a 1.1 Forte

   Hi guys,
   
   Got a bit of a weird one here. I have a Saxo 1.1 Forte on a X plate. The ABS Light and Handbrake light stay constantly on. This car has been looked at by many garages including a Citroen dealer who have no clue as to why/how this could be.
   
   The brake fluid level is fine and the car doesn't have ABS at all so am slightly puzzled as to what is causing this. Car has been serviced and MOT'd and is running safe but would be nice to get rid of these lights once and for all.
   
   I have searched the forum and could not find any thread like this but of course I appologise in advance if this has been covered elsewhere.

   hmmm, the handbreak light could be a faulty switch, but my 1.1 forte doesent even have power steering never mind abs, and have never had the abs light come on even when starting, you sure it is the abs light mate? only thing you could try doing is unplugging the battery for a hour to reset the ecu

   I have a 02 vts and have the same problem. My handbreak, abs and battery light are always on. Took it for a diagnostic the other day and they couldn't find anything wrong!
   
   Someone must know how to fix this

   My airbag one is always on and my battery is either always on or flickers Thought the battery may be on its way out but has been like this for months now so I guess not :/

   there must be a short somewhere or a problem with the ecu

   To be fair it doesn't affect the driving so I'll stick with the lights for the time being!

   Defo an ABS light. I am assuming that the dash pod is generic for lots of different models hence why there is a ABS light present on my dash.
   
   Will try disconnecting the battery and let you know if that cures it.
