De-Badge

  1. #1
    Hey Sax-p,

Today I de-badged my sax, but I am now left with holes in the boot lid, I have no option to go to the body shop as I dont yet have my license.
Is there any other options to fill the holes? I would be scared to risk and use filler and then paint it and I am not sure which colour I will need.

Any advice guys? Holes look bad And makes car less secure.

Tbh if your going to do a job you gotta do it right. It wil look half ass if you dont filler and spray but some of the more experienced members may have some tips.

put the badges back on if you cant get it to a body shop

trust me when i say the spray cans never match up. go to body shop.

imo put the badges back on until you have passed your test, then take it a bodyshop and have it done correctly.

The badge holes really need welding up, then minimal filler, then a good paint job.

Yeah looks like the best option, tbh i though maybe there is some king of grommets that small, for a temp use.

Thanks guys, will take my driving lessons in a month or two, then I can give it a good body clean.

P.S - how much would a body shop charge for such a small job?

depends how good a job you actually want and how fussy you are.

Mine cost £250 to have it de-badged and fully sprayed.

With paintwork imo you get what you pay for.

Lol yeah they should use tigerseal!
I dont think mine would cost 250 cause the previous owner only payed 100 for the car to be fully sprayed
So it not a good job tbh

Id rather get someone to do the proper job, if its not done right then you have to get it done all over again... right pain in the arse if you ask me.
