how long does it take for front springs to settle?

    Just lowered the old saxobaby.
its 60mm at the front and about 90-100mm (approx) at the back.
It looks ridiculously low at the back at the moment
And the front doesnt look as low as I'd have liked it too.
Heres a few quick pics: (Its very dirty haha)

They are definately 60mm though thats the thing.
Bit confused really. I hope they drop a bit after i drive it a bit more.

even if they do drop a little more there is going to be a massive difference and look like its dragging it arse. a 30mm difference look like its broke.

I just found a picture of a saxo on here lowered 60 and 90:

    Looks good!
Im guessing mine is about 100 rather than 90 haha

mine was like that with 60mm springs, didnt drop much when i put some 70mm springs on aswell, so i chopped 2 coils of the springs and got the dampers machined down 30mm

yeah yours looks 100 from the picture comparison..

Wahoo, you looked at my car haha. Dude, mine took about a year to settle, honestly lol. Every day it seemed to get lower It has stopped now though and imo is bang on. Just give it a month im sure it'll look alot lower then

Have you got a sub? Or is it on the bumpstops? The back looks very low.

Just had mine lowered from 40mm to 60mm at the front and its on 15's, when i picked it up the back ( 60mm also ) looked spot on but the front barely looked 50mm!! That was a few weeks ago now and its settled down allot, probably got a bit more to go but looks more like 60mm now.

i left my car on axle stands just under the rear so theres more load over the front just do it when u park up over night helped mine alot.

    what dampers you using?
  14. #14
I really don't get why people slam the rear and front is raised?!?!

Are you aiming for this sort of look?

I didnt AIM for it to look like that. I wanted 60 and 80. we just got carried away for a laugh. And it doesnt look that bad now, the springs have settled a bit.

Im starting to think I got ripped off and was given 40mm springs in a 60mm box, because 1. it wasnt even sealed when I bought it and 2. Ive been looking at pictures of saxos lowered 40mm and the front looks exactly the same as mine...

or am i just being impatient???
