Piper X Pulleys Timing!

   Hi guys any one know how to find tdc with both piper x inlet and exh pulleys!
   For now the crank has been set to tdc with the pulley adjuster needle facing each other so and that timed up and belt on spins freely with no piston hits or anything! does that sound right or is there a definate way!
   
   Becuase with the standard pulleys u can put a 8mm drill bit to lock them in but with the piper x ones i dont no where to lock or how to find the tdc?
   
   Any ideas really apreciated as my uncle is pretty sure that it is ok as it is but just want a definate answer off any one

   Will be impossible to tell really. Would need to swap back to standard pulleys to lock them and know 100% the timing is standard.

   So there is no way to time it up correctly? do the piper cam not have anyway in which u can distinguish tdc on the cams?? Even as i can see the cams as the rocker cover is off?? is there anyway to see what ways the the points on the cams to distinguish tdc!

   to do it properly you would have to use a timing disk and dialgauge you would make a pointer for the disk put the disk on the crank at true tdc then set the pointer at 0 turn the crank to the prescribed settings say 109 btdc it may not be the same for both cams then find something to stick the dial gauge to set the pin on the gauge on the top of no1 inlet turn the cam until you find full lift nip up the bolts on the pully.then repeat for exhaust.

   Any one runnin piper x cams on a vts if so would it b possible to take a pic of the ams at tdc so I can get a good idea as to how they go? As at the moment it's a total guess x

   you will not see from a pic you could be a mile out resulting in major engine damage

   tdc is set via the crank not the pullys!?

   if you disconnect the cambelt, ant rotated the camshafts, how'd you re-set the camshafts to TDC without the timing mark on the standard pulley.
   
   You could do it by looking at the lift@tdc on the inlet and exhaust cam at TDC, find these and then fit the cambelt
