Suspension Top mount bearings

  1. #1
    Hi,

Where is the best place to buy suspension top mount bearings???

I'm fitting new dampers next week and while I have everything stripped off (car that is ) I'd like to replace these along with my already purchased drop links, wishbones, poly bushes and Bilsteins.....

Would be IDEAL if anyone had part numbers and possibly an indicative price...
    Much appreciate any advice.

Thanks guys.... I actually thought they'd be a more "specialised" part and be dealer only as opposed to off the shelf motor factors!!!

yes, I should have checked and researched before starting a new thread.....

    Cheers again!!

Just had a look on all the sites posted.....
Can anyone identfiy exactly what parts I'd need???
Not sure if they all do the same thing...

It would be to replace both sets of Top Mounts (bearings) on an 03 VTS

    These are the bearings:

    These are top mounts:

The bearings are what the strut rotates on when you steer, the top mounts keep the top of the strut attached to the car - the rubber absorbs little bumps/movement.

Would it be necessary to purchase both the top mount and the bearing if its the bearing thats gone?

106 parts are a rip off.

If you bought from there you'd be paying £29.99 for the bearings and £31.49 for the top mounts. Plus postage

Euro car parts sell the exact same ones for £32.07 which is a full pair of bearings and mounts which is an absolute bloody bargain. For the price its something that more people should consider if their car has done fairly high milage. Bearings in particular

    That's a good shout tbh - and a bargain from Eurocarparts !!

I'd much prefer to use SKF over Firstline too!

I feel a tad embarrassed posting the link to 106parts above now - eurocarparts never used to have such a good website for ordering parts, their new (well relatively new) website is easy to use and gives good information on the parts!
