1.1 8v to 1.6 8v both 2001 3 plug engine

   right iv just bought a full 3plug vtr set up for my 2001 1.1 106 independance
   
   now my question is will the wireing be plug and play or not?
   
   if not could i just use my 1.1 loom and put the vtr ecu on that or not?

   you need to use the loom and ecu for the engine.
   The multi plug maybe a different layout and size. Try plugging it in and see if it runs. If not you will want to get the multimeter out and start rewiring the loom

   yep all plugged in fine,useing the 1.1 loom on vtr engine,
   
   its been done before a lad on 106 owners has done it ( is even useing the 1.1 ecu )
   
   and he has never had a problem so im just useing the loom off my 1.1 engine it all fits the vtr one nicely

   well dont expect it to run correctly or to the best of its ability.
   They are very different engines

   you gone to all the trouble of buying an engine for a conversion and ended up with an 8v ? the mind boggles
