My 12 year old saxo has a ticking noise coming from the front wheel that worsens when turning right, and disappears when turning left.
Nothing to do with the power steering cos i dont have it.
I think it may be the rubber housing over the bit of axle (a UJ?) near the inside of the wheel rubbing, probably on the brake shoe, cos when i feel around i get black stuff on my hands
also, a few miscellaneous problems:
whining from under the engine when it idles longtimes; this the water pump?
Oil leak on front of engine block; any way to tell which valve/gasket is dead? im lead to believe its likely to be the cylinder head but not sure
Clutch bite very high; moving off then lifting off the clutch, the pedal only travels 2 cm further up. may be due to wheelspin
will try adjusting cable but will i need a new clutch, or should i wait until it doesnt work at all/screams/burns?
All help appreciated
