Swapping Mk2 VTR to mk1 VTR Front end

    just looking through on some ones project thread and they swapped the fornt end. Is this easy?

    Also what do people think on it?

    becuz the mk2's are faster and less mileage but the mk1 looks better

    You will need the following

    Wings
    Bonnet
    Slam pannel
    Headlights
    Trims under headlights

    An they might need spraying...

    its exactly the same to fit it as it is to take it all off lol if you wanted a fast mk1 then should have got a mk1 vts lol

    wicked, i havent got 1 yet. but vts is more to insure

    i'll have everything ya need as am about to do 106 front end on me mk1 sax from quicksilver with vt body kit should be fun

    the chassis needs a bit of chopping to fit the slam panel right i heard. theres a thread of a bloke with a mauritious blue mk1 who converted to the dark side

    just to add the inner wing structures are longer on a mark 1
    so you will need to make something up to accomodate for that

    theyre are no under light trims on a Mk1, you'll need to add MK1 Grill to that list.

    theyre is a bit on the chasis that looks like its just been stuck on to MK1's that isnt theyre on Mk2's. This bit is needed for the slam pannel to sit slightly forward on Mk1's.

    Should be able to get it from a scapyarded saxo as long as it hasnt been in a front ender.
