which turbo do you guys think i should go for on my conversion?
i will be only running about 6psi nothing high just dont know which one to go for

td04 are quite common. can be found on imprezas

they run about 0.7bar as standard can push 1.4 max. this is on a 2.0L tho.

which would you go for out the two?
if the td04 uts out 0.7bar std will that not be too much for my engine isnt that like 10-11psi i only want to run about 6ish psi but then again i suppose it will be abit less as its only on a 1.6 not a 2 litre

doesnt matter what size engine youve got the turbo will still pump the same pressure

td04 is whats in the cituning kit yes?

im not sure mate. ive heard a few times people using td04. the above is all the useful knowledge i can give.

Cituning 'basic' turbo kit is supplied with the GT17, the bigger cituning kit is supplied with the TD04 off of the Viggen Saabs iirc

Not sure m8, would have to investigate... dont underestimate the GT17, people say its good for 1bar and the low spool up (2.5/3k) leaves a good power band right round to the limiter (6.8k). I plan to run the GT17 at the stock 6psi and once the f/piston etc have been fitted wind it up to 9-10psi

want to go for high boost now im going forged though maybe 1.2-1.6 bar.... just thinking of decnt turbo to use for my conversion??

good option for low boost, thts whys its in the cituning set up, readily available too, sorry bout the hi-jack before lol

that's fine mate lol i been looking on ebay for people breaking saab 9-3 and 9-5 turbos for the turbo itself lol

there a guy who sells the regular on ebay, hes a dedicated saab breaker, just keep searching and youll find one, normally have buy it nows between 60-80 and come with a 30 day warranty iirc, god luck mate, you interested in the forged pistons?

not at the moment im not mate i just want low boost for time being then i will upgrade at a later date... haven't had my own turbo car before so its a new thing for me, only driven TD's before not petrol turb's

will i notice much more of a pull on my saxo when its done like from as it is now kinda thing... i have driven turbo diesel cars before and cant say there is much of a boost but you can feel it, will it just be like that on the saxo as i will be only running about 6psi
