IMO I'd look to get something welded on as opposed to bolted on, as if it comes undone/leaks there goes your engine if you lose a lot of oil.

I'd try and make it as reliable as possible if it was me.

raunchz, what is the sump made out of? i can weld something onto it if its goin to be better than that, will just get a pipe and drill a hole in the sump and weld it there if its going to be better

god knows what its made out of - steel? Some sort of alloy? I really dont know tbh!

A lot of people have welded tubes onto the sump for the oil return so welding it can't be a problem.

I just think, imagine if that bolt come undone - you'd spurt oil out everywhere. It would be in the back of my mind all the time if it was me

ok mate think i will just do that then lol

need to concentrate on geting the car back running again first

    made of mild steel.

Due to the thickness i would suggest tig welding, or brazing a nut to the inside of he sump.

i only use a tig welder anyway so its all good lol
