cambelt change

    ive got to change the cambelt as my vtr has just hit 60k. Does anyone have a guide to changing it on a vtr? I havent got the money to take it to citroen and im not to shur how to tighten it up right.

    the haynes manual isnt a bad place to start its not that hard to do but if you do diy it nip it to a garage after just to get the tension of the belt checked to be on the safe side

    if your not sure how to tighten it up right i wouldnt really attemp it mate, if you get the timing out by one tooth then your going to have to dig deep into ur pockets!

    or you could buy a timing kit, which will include everthing you need to lock the cam shaft and crank shaft in place and a tensioner. only costs about 20 pounds

    the cambelt cover is a complete pig to get off though, most of the nuts are alright to get off its just one that is located under an engine mount which is a bastard to get at
