later wheels on earlier cars!?

  1. #1
weve recently purchased a mk1 vtr, but id like to fit some of the later facelift 15" alloys to it, mainly to enable the use of bigger and better brakes, but whilst trying to maintain a little of the stock appearance.

now i do assume these wheels will fit with no quarms, but thought it best to check before i end up parting with any money.

if so, would anyone happen to have any nice pictures of the mk1 with the later wheels on please?

    cheers in advance
    Kelv.

later vtr wheels are exactly the same but vts wheels are different as vts are 14" and vts are 15" but be sue u fir a 45 profile tyre as anything above will rub on the arches m8

surely they cant be the same, the later wheels i reffer to are the softer appearance 5 spoke wheels, where as the car is currently wearing 14" wheels which im sure are an 8 spoke (or somewhere around 8 spokes!)

unless ive missread what youve written.

The 5 spokes are the mk2 VTS alloys, look good on mk1's, do it

  17. #17
Yeh, mappable Ecu that plugs into the standard loom
  18. #18
Ah i see, never heard of that make of ecu, not one I'm familiar with.

Its produced by Datashift - an affiliate on here.

Got some good results on a Vts with induction and exhaust!

    Fair play.
It's obviously a decent tried and tested route for those engines.

As said, just not one I'm familiar with, but there's probably several out there I've not heard of aswell, lol.

Pectel T6 2000 is on our Escort.
