De-badged boot

    hi im just wondering is it easy to de-badge my boot , i mean i can take the badges of but it leaves 5 holes ,can i fill it and spray my self with out doing whole boot ,

    can i have a go at doing it and if it looks sh*t i can put the badges back on

    surey it carnt be that hard its 5 lil holes and if it does i can put badges back on and it will cover it

    you'd be surprised mate. i only filled and sprayed the holes paint doesn,t match its a pain in the arse. go to spray shop or leave your badges on. saves stress and hassle. spray shop are welding holes and full boot repspray for £85

    if i was you mate i would re-do the whole boot because it won't look right if you just re-spray the areas you need to. i haven't done it myself but i'm sure it's just a case of filler over the holes and sand it down (someone correct if i'm wrong!) then primer then paint then lacquer

    Yes, looks stupid imo.

    And really it is quite hard to do properly. You need to sand the paintwork down, weld the holes up and ideally spray the whole boot so that the colour matches.

    the whole boot will need re-doing mate.
    The paint will have become discoloured in places.
    Dont leave the holes in - looks w@nk

    buy a smoothed one n do it rite..

    the filler usually just falls out. best to weld
