okay guys you lot have helped me out alot before now iam considering putting bike carbs on da vts i just have a few issues maybe some one can help me
they are cbr 600 bodies which Includes fuel pressure regulator, throttle position sensor and injection loom. 36mm throttle bore.

i know i will need an adapter fabricated and injectors

okay so what i want to know what else will i need to get this going

i was also told that the standard ecu is well capable for good performance figuers when running this setup full s/s exhaust, cat cams 708s,and the carbs.
    True or false?

imo id go for a decent standalone, the debate about the OE ecu is its rumoured to not have many load sites when adjusted to run bodies.

bike bodies can often loose power to as they can be an arse to set up compaired to a decent set of jenveys etc..

mapping for an ecu sa £400.

    A predator inc mapping £550...

    not much in it tbh.

and you dont want carbs on a fuel injection engine.

in theory you'd only need some sort of ECU to control the ignition side of things as the carbs would sort fueling ?

Please listen to advice and go for throttle bodies with an ECU that controls both fuel and ignition - it'll be so much better running in all aspects once setup

you seem to have gotten confused, your saying your wanting to fit Carbs, but are fitting Bodies.

Carbs and bodies are different things, simply one is multie point ecu controlled, the other is distributor and points Single point injection. Carbs are a great £ per BHP upgrade, but you need a set of carbs, GSXR 600 are a favourite if you can get hold of an old set, you can get rid of all your dodgey french electric and aslong as you get them jetted correctly can achieve somewhere near 170bhp quite happily with large cams , however your power might not be distributed quite as easily as that of bodies you will find your car is "Cammy" on idle etc etc, however this is COOL!

Bodies are the modernt equivielent, and can achieve more power and a smoother delivary, but the cost of Jenvys and standalone as you say is quite hefty. then it needs mapping also. but it depends on how you want your car, bodies will allow it to run perfectly once mapped
Carbs will be rough and old skool!

contradiction in mechanical terms there mate, if your fitting carbs, GMC do a manifold,
you would also need a lower pressure fuel pump and Fuel pressur regulator and i think there isnt much else you will need except the carbs jetting at a bike tuning place

i had some zzr600 carbs but got rid of them and got a rallye inlet in the end i couldnt be bothered with fitting them basically you can do it cheao or expensive way either buy a new ecu and a re-map or get a dizzy cap and the coil off a carb's 106 or ax
