missing like hell

   hi got a 98 vtr 90bhp model it is missimg like hell on tick over and does it bout 2000-3000rpm unless you nail it ave changed the plugs and leads any ideas?? cheers

   a had a mechanic look at it an he said possible burnt valve?? that common???

   i burnt a valve! was running a 15V GTI pmsl, was horrible it couldnt get past 100, pricey job to sort out if thats the case mate!!

   well less than £200 but a burnt valve or valves on the 16v lump would suggest pinking or a faulty plug/injectors.
