Black Bump Strips - How-To?

    Hi all,
    Will be doing my bump strips soon, bumpers and side skirts - is there a guide (so i dont do a crap job aha) - obviously ive got the rough idea but i want to look neat - Did a search but nothing
    Anyway a How-To Guide Link would be much appreciated

    You mean spray them? It's a fairly easy job. Just mask the edges off, and put a sheet of newspaper all round, so that you don't get any overspray going onto the car. Sand it down, use plastic primer, or high build primer, 3 coats of this, lightly sand in between each coat to rid any imperfections, 3 coats of chosen colour. If using matt black then don't laquer. If going gloss/satin black or colour coding then put 3 coats of laquer. Jobs a good 'un. Just be careful when taking the masking tape off, you might take the newly paint with it.

    Mines is hand mixed

    Not too sure about the spray bottle tho

    Its not a cheap colour as citroen didn't make it available in touch up kits/cans. I got mine from halfords for the can.

    I dont remember seeing a mango with mango bumpstrips though. Ill do it soon im sure.

    i've seen it done. would just prefer black keeps the theme going
