Replacing solid brake lines back to MC

   I've got some braided hoses here to swap the ends of the lines over (where they meet the calipers) but I was wondering if it's possible to fully replace the whole line i.e. right back to the master cylinder?
   
   Reason being, the nuts / flanges on the end of my solid lines are knackered, really struggling to get them off becase they've been rounded previously.

   yes it is possible, and easily done.
   
   you need copper brake pipe from your local motor factors, the m10 unions and a brake pipe flaring tool.

   I meant replace them with flexi lines but yeah I guess that would work.
   
   Although if I wanted to stick with solid lines, wouldn't it make more sense to get them off another VTR/S, just make sure they're not knackered as well?

   Will be a lot easier and cheaper to use new copper line mate. Its much easier to work with, the OEM ones are solid and as you say wont likely be in great condition either.
   
   Copper line is something stupid like £3 a meter on average so it wont cost much atall.
   
   You could be a whore and use braided metal line, but it'll cost hundreds.
   
   Whatever you do, make sure you either run them down the original paths or run them internally.

   I can supply braided lines for the complete car but as said it wont be cheap
   would probs cost around £50 in parts for copper pipes

   Just got my braided lines done through Kam racing. They are a bit pimp!

   Hmmmm not sure I can justify that amount of moulah around Xmas, might have to try source some better condition OM ones for now or use copper tube.

   just get the rolls of copper brake line from ebay, under £10 and fittings are included.

   I can supply a kit to replace the lines in braided for less than kam!
   Can also do them as part sets, i.e front of car now then rest of car next month

    old copper line is brittle so you cannot re flange it. Just replace the sections that need doing with new connectors and piping. Nice and cheap then
