Engine Block Question

    Hi guys and girls....

As some of you may know my nice black top engine is very very poorly!!

the pistons are damaged and crankshaft...

I've been tryin to find NFZ code engine with the coil pack bolted to the side of the head but im having a very poor search but im coming across alot of early silver tops MK1 and also silver tops MK2. Now my question is will the head from my black top fit an early or late silver top block???

Any help is much appreciated. thanks

surprised you can't find one to be honest mate, would think the heads would swap but not 100% sure. i've got a black top head in the garage and i've dropped it onto a scrap NFZ block and everything lines up OK, beyond that i can't say for sure.

blacktop head doesnt work well on a silvertop everything needs to be swapped and the inlet ports are different spacing iirc

The only thing that is going to be silvertop is the block.. everything else will be blacktop.. head..manifold..coil setup.. injectors..sensors!!

Are the silvertop crankshafts the same amount of tooths as the blacktop crank??
