Air filters come cheap, specially If bought second hand on ebay or here. Most other stuff to increase power your looking at £££ anything else just Isn't worth It. Could get a good service done on the car though If It's due one, saxo's always feel more responsive after a good service and with a new air filter you'd notice a bit more pull

    > Vomit before driving so you have a empty stomach?

    Serious note:

There arnt really any "cheap" ways to more BHP.

Things like a Induction kit, a ported throttle body, and strip some things out are some but there not going to make a huge difference tbh

EDIT: When stripping the back of your car out you may notice that the car is more "twitchy" as in some situations the back end may feel more like it wants to slide. This is something you will have to take into consideration and get used to. Also inside the car will be louder and colder in the winter.

The stock exhaust system on the VTR/VTS is pretty decent, replacements struggle to get more than 5bhp on a stock engine.

Airbox on the VTS is also a good stock setup.

The key area for improvement for not much money is the exhaust manifold. They can be had for under £150 new, under £100 second hand, and give an instant improvement in the driveability of the car.

As aformentioned, lightening the car gives massive benefits. Any interior comforts you dont want, get rid.
