Dirty ECU

   I am trying to tidy up my engine bay, and have reconditioned the ECU tray and Bolts. Only thing is i dont have an ECU cover and the ECU is dirty and horrid. Can the ECU be disconnected safely so that i can spray it?
   
   Or is there any other ideas?

   Leave well alone ecu covers are only about £5-7 on ebay.

   or you could spray wd40 onto a rag and wipe it clean??
