right well i think its about time i start my own real progress thread im starting with a 1.1 blue sax (obvs lol) heres my list of whats getting done/changed and ill put some pikkys up l8r.

exterior
vtr/s body kit (vt kit is going a gun metal grey)
bumpers
side skirts
arches
door covers installed but ripping off to respray
smoothed fogs
smoothed grill with intake hole
mk1 spoiler

bee sting and nicer mount installed

vtr interior (seats, door cards) installed

speaker pods
custom speaker pods on rear shelf

led ceiling light

looking on two jl audio amps
8" mids on rear parcel shelf in custom pods
16cm comps in front custom pods
7" touchscreen stereo in custom pod

engine and bay
upper stut brace

and general engine bay upgrades
some custom fibre glass boxes for:
battery, engine fuse box etc.
this is the car currently

paint looks flat on pik but its just frost on the roof very cold day haha

ryt well just added a few more piks from what i could find on my photobucket but the interior has changed its vtr now nedd top get one of the outside before i fit the vtr kit ill get loads more up 2moro.

them alpine speakers sound decent but will blow as ive blew mine up with it only having a paper type edge to it, would look at changin them mate

yeh the alpines do sound decent but there getting changed for 16cm comps hertz or spl not too sure yet they wer just bought as somthing quick to throw in untill i got the ones i rele want.

as for the alloys av got a blue sax going for a gun metal grey vt kit and think im goin for gun metal grey alloys with blue rim tape.

well if i want more power ill just drop a vtr engine in but at the moment im sticking with a 1.1 for insurance reasons wen that lowers ill be lookin at vtr or maybe a honda b16 engine sitting in the backseats haha

right well managed to find my camera wire so ran out and took these of how the car is now i just put the bump cover thing on the door to see how it looks in the red/ maroon but i dont like it gunna go with the gun metal gray i think itll match better with the vtr interior aswell.

I think you should get the alloys and lower it first, will make such a difference to the looks of it

I think the rear quarter tints should stay, they look good

yeh am gettin me alloys bought by me mum for christmas lol so all iv gota do is spray up me vt kit n get it on the car n ill have a set of alloys in bout 2-3 weeks n ordering front adjustible shocks and dampers for the back n going to lower it dont no why i didnt put that in my list to be onist. yeh keeping the tints i done them myself took me three atempts but got them looking spot on now.

right well sanded it down with 180 grit wet n dry cleaned debre off then sprayed first coat of primer going to spray a second coat then sand with 1200 grit and its ready for colour which ill be doing tomoro im also going to prim my skirts aswell.

yeh well iv got a decent job at the moment n still live with parents so thaught fuk it always wanted to kit a car up but eligantly not chavish lol so goin 4 it now haha, yeh spray jobs lookin rele goo considering im using rattle cans just taking my time on the prep work and its so much better than a rush job. dvd player only set me back £180 aned i know they can be fitted because iv seen somebody with one on here, just a bit of fibre glassing to do n jobs a gooden lol.

well i hope it is iv had the car a while but havent had the money to do what i wanted with it now i have so im going all out! but i want it looking clean none of the aftermarket stuff just stock parts that have been moded to give a some what euro look if that makes any sense. it is going quicker than i thaught it would but im just taking my time because iv tried to rush things in the past on it and they didnt turn out so well my dash parts have been about 6 different colours haha, they are going the same colour as the vt kit.
av seen on ebay some machined door badges saying VT? lol so think im going to grab a pair lol

Could ask DNN signs to make you some one off one's with just ??? on or something? That way people havnt really got any clue what model it is

But them aluminium ones dont look all that good imo

well they wer just a idea n they are something a bit different but i dont rele wanna leave the vts badges on when its not a vts even thou i do think the vts badge is the best with the yells s lol

ripping out the old seats and starting tinting the windows

boot build is going to be getting carpeted just waiting till i get my twin amps first as i may need to mod the false floor etc.

test fitting the vt kit while maroon but not quite my taste so starting to make it grey

ok recieved my double din today went to fit it and the dvd/cd drive doesnt feckin work not happy at all having to send it back so carnt start modding my center console now untill i get my replacement, gggrrrrhhh why carnt this build go smooth haha

ryt well i had a lil look at the dvd and the soft twats who made it forgot to take two screws out they wer blocking the disk tray started fitting today had to seriosly cut some brackets out and cut into my heater to get the player fitting in snug, heres some piks of my progress so far not finished as iv got to do some fibre glassing tomoro so it looks like it was made that way lol.

im well impressed with it but these alot of work to be done to get the dash lookin sweet 2mora going to be fibre glassing the surrond to give it a some what stardard look then spray it all up, gota get a invertor so i can hook a freeview box up to it so the tv function works.

oh and yeh that is a phone on it works using the bluetooth on your mobile.

thanks well im doing it and iv hacked all kinds out but my heater is still functional unlike most peoples on here so i think thats a first haha starting my fibre glassing tomoro as iv gota get me xmas prezys in today so dont wanna rush and fuk it up haha.

well i went motor world today as a lad that works there is my mate n he was talkin about puting a household freeview in the glovey and using a power unit that attachs to the ciggy lighter.

right wellhad twol hours spare and decided to prep for the fibre glassing tomoro so i cut the aluminum mesh into shape and glued it in with some no nails haha heres some piks so far

(i threw one in of how i modded the air vent to take the double din and still work.)

na aint cut them yet going to be fitting the kit 2moz so ill post loads of piks of how i done it. only need the tigerseal for the door panel things just got some off ebay for 6quid aint dat bad seen as some fool payed 25 quid on ere somewere lol. oh and heres some more progress of the dash iv started filling it out to proply fit the double din now

and before anybody says its not straight imm over filling to sand down into shape .

yeh had to redo most the center console the heater matrix was just playing up and were i relocated the switches to was interfering with the heater controls so went back to the drawing board and have totaly went crazy with fibre glass haha but all fitting sweet now so ill post some piks wen i get home just need to spray it up and install it ill post som progress l8r.

ryt well finaly get my licence and been driving my car heard a rattle haha so while i was under trying to find were the rattle was coming from found a big hole of rust just behind the drivers side wheel well, luckily the chassis is ok so going to grind it back, but the rattles coming from the cat so going to get a new one no big deal. and weld a new plate on so my vt kit is being put on hold till i sort it, i fink mite just put it on anyways haha

right well that rattling was doing my head in especialy now the innards of the cat was blockin the pipe so i was loosing power so got a mate in work to decat it for me now it no longer rattles and sounds alot better haha just need my backbox lmao

ok well not much progress as my car is fukd at the moment hopefully the garage will be sorting it 2mora so i can get on with gettin my parts actualy out my room an on her. keeps cutting out on idle changed the spark plugsand the carbertor but they havent solved the problem so gettin a citreon specialist to sort it for me, while i was bord got the grider and welder out and de-cated it sound great cept the engines not tickin over properly ( wasnt running right before the de-cat haha) but hopefully ill have her ready for show season so going to be alot getting done over the next few weeks as im gettin some hard money in haha.
