Whining Noise

   My car has just began to whine at the front end when i move off or when its rolling very slowly.. any ides what it could be..???
   
   And also since i lowered it the back has now got a ticking sound.. again any ideas.. im taking it to citren today to change the roll pin and i want them to look at these things but wanna give them ideas of what it could be so they dont bum me with hourly charges..

   Whining noise could be the brakes?

   Could be diff bearings/clutch release bearing going for the whining.
   
   My cousin had a ticking noise from the back, turned put that the handbrake cable had unclipped itself from the guiding clip... Just needed to push a plastic clip back into the trailing arm.

   yea i think its all ok in terms of oil.. it just happens when the car moves off in first gear but sometimes happens when im crawling with car in neautrel.. also the ticking noise coming from the back it pretty loud but happens at faster speeds..

   checked for anything loose at the back by the wheels?

   Could be alternator related.

   my gti whined when i was slowing and speeding up, and it was my wheel bearing!

   It very similar to power steering whine when u do a full lock thats what it sounds like but it happens when release the clutch or when its rolling in neutral very slowly..But has only started since i had it lowered.

    I have been told that the noise coming from the back is a bearing that has gone.?? does this mean the axle is fucked as i only had it lowered coupe weeks ago..?

    my car was making that noise, now i am forking out over 700 pounds to replace the gear box, beacause the selector wore out!
