Door trim

   Because i have a forte it has a horrible black plastic trim and pretty much goes all the way round the car
   
   Is there any way of getting 1 the same coulor or paiting it?

   mines the same but i have a 5 door err its soo diarr... i presume you can rough up the surface and them primer and paint it? but ive not tried that yet :L....also de-badging the back and using filler and then respray looks nice i done it to mine ill get a pic soon (Y)

   (correct me if im wrong anyone)
   
   Side pieces, come off easy, just be careful not to snap the crap clips, sand down, prime using plastic primer, 2-4 coats, wait till dry, apply 2-4 coats of choosen colour, wait till dry, apply 2-4 coats of laq, leave 24 hours till replacing, same process for the back bumper and front, except masking up is needed, best of removing the back/front bumper for this.

   Yeah its a flat arch I`ve got the same and I will colour code it so it looks better, well for me it is. The process should be the same as normal plastic painting, but no rushing.
   As iSlayer said be careful when taking the strips off, the horrible clips just snap soo easy.
   I think you can slide it off the clips, open the door and pull the side strip on the door toward the back of the car? Mine does it

   Thanks for the input guys but i wont be able to get the same metalic/shiney blue because of the plastic?

   correct me if im wrong people but if you get the right colour spray it will come out ok,
   doesn't matter if your spaying plastic..
   
   i have the same trim on mine but im thinking of doin it a different colour like matt black,
   just incase it doesn't match due to the paint aging?

   yeah it should come out the same colour as long as you do a thorough job (and buy the right paint of course) i'm gonna do this to my vtr sometime over xmas once i've finished uni
