Running On 3 Cylinders?

i was speaking to this bloke yesterday who owns an 02 vts and he said it feels like its running on 3 cylinders all the time, he said he has replaced the spark plugs, ht leads and coil pack and it still struggles to get to 100mph anyone have any ideas?

I have the same problem with my 2003 VTR, the head hasnt gone, but it wont do over 100mph. i have been told it could be the cold air intake?? not sure if this information has come ffrom a cowboy tho.

a punto i used to have started runnin on 3 cylendars. the head gasket was gone on that. we replaced the gasket and it was fine

it may also be as simple as one of the spark plugs is knackered!

First point of call would be to pull the plugs see what they running like (can tell this by the colour of them) check if any are wet etc .....if there wet smell from either Petrol or Water/antifreeze smell

I did a 16v conversion on a saxo last week that was only running on 3 cylinders when we started it i checked everything on in the end put 4 new plugs in it left it run (misfiring) for 20mins pulled the plugs back to 3 were firing great one was brand new hadnt fired once no trace of fuel or anything on it ....so i put them back in checked the injector on that cylinder ....problem sorted

Thinking about it ,it could possibly be a burnt out valve

or even one of your HT leads knackered if your not sparking but the plugs fine!
