    sorry if itts been put up before, but i searched!
    just wondering the differences and the equivilents are for 106s and saxos!
    vtr, quicksilver, xsi, furio etc...

    engines and bhp?

    vts and gti, same engine.
    vtr and rallye share the 1.6 8v but believe the rallye has slightly more power. theres also a 106 xsi but its not kitted.
    furio/westcoast and quiksilver.

    No the 1.4 8v engine has 75bhp

    And yes the inlet manifold and TB are bigger, allowing more air to be mixed with more petrol, bigger bang, more power

    You can fit a S1 Rallye inlet on a Mk1 Saxo VTR for a nice gain

    And yes they do run lumpy before remap, but when coupled with cams and other things and a remap it is worth it

    And the XSI will be a Peugeot not Citroen, is it the Quicksilver?

    yeah but all the other lumps are the same, just wondering wjhat the 1.4 90bhp looks like!

    I'm not all that clued up on the peugeots, but i was sure they used the same 1.4 as the saxo, which would mean its 75bhp

    I never knew that

    Also what power was the S1 Rallye? I believe it's pretty good for a 1.3.
  13. #13
    Just search it in Parkers mate, it'll tell you loads of info about it.

    The 98BHP XSi is a rare care, its basically the 1.4 XS (75BHP) engine but de-restricted as its only availble pre-cat years, ie J-reg.

    The S1 Rallye is 100ish BHP also.

    if you go on stealth106's thread hes got a xsi 1.4 but hes put a vts/gti engine in it but u can see what one looks like
    basically
    vts=gti-120bhp
    vtr=xs mk2, xsi mk1, rallye 1.3 mk1, rallye 1.6 mk2-90/98bhp
    furio mk2/westcoast mk1= xs mk1 75bhp
    then theres the lesser models but theres hundreds of flaming 106 models

    edit: whoooooo just realised this is my 1000th post!

    Furio/Westcoast is similair to a Quiksilver and they're all 75Bhp. They both share the same body kit as the VTR/VTS and GTi respectively.

    1.3 Rallye has 100Bhp and the engine is found only in the 106 Rallye (TU2). It has it's own colour coded body kit that is unique to that model.

    1.4 XSi is quoted as 100Bhp pre-cat and 95Bhp with a cat. Has a black textured trim kit that is used only on the 1.4 and 1.6 XSi models.

    1.6 Rallye has 103Bhp. I believe it uses the VTR bottom end and inlet with a Rallye cam and head. Looks very similair to a GTi but with white steels and foglight blanks. Also the spoiler is optional.

    1.6 XSi is quoted as 105Bhp and is essentialy the same as the 1.6 Rallye engine but with different emmissions restricitions so hence the small power increase.

    MK1 VTR has 90Bhp and MK2 has 98Bhp. Same kit as the VTS but with 14" alloys.

    MK1 and MK2 VTS and the GTi all have 120Bhp. Apart from the way they look there is very little difference mechanicaly between the two.

    Quite a complex range of cars tbh! Hope that helps.
