Spraying Front Splittler

I wana spray my front splittler silver. Will the paint chip off easy.

Im going to use silver hamerite because it is near enough the identical colour to my vtr.

Hamerite doesnt need laquer so will the paint chip off easy? I dont want to have to respray little parts every weekend.

    Cheers.

Your bound to get the odd stone chip but usually theyre never noticable enough to respray all the time. Mabey a 6 month touch up after painting.

i reckon you should colour code all the bump strips etc if you're doing the splitter. that would make it look really tidy imo. or go gloss black - i know it's been done before a lot but it'll look odd if you've only colour coded one bit i think

i got my front splitter done proffessonally at a bodyshop with a new bumper. i think its looks good as it ties in with the height of the skirts. im not a big fan of coloutcoding all of the black strips on a silver car. here is a quick pic of mine for some inspiration mate.

also stone chips arent a problem with the splitter, its gets no more chips than the rest of the bumper

Dont forget its plastic and plastic flexes. You may find it will crack if u dont use a suitable plastic spray paint and primer.

IMO the silver splitter may possibly look too much. I'd pop that pic up in photoshop section and get some one to colour it in for you before you commit. Good luck :-)
