Manifold cover

    Hi all,

    Got a 1998 106 GTI.

I'm debating whether to take my manifold cover off and clean it up a bit, got the wire brushes etc...

Once taken off, i'm not sure yet whether i will clean it up and put it back on or leave it off.

Any benefit or downside to not having the manifold cover on?

I'm guessing it looks a ton times better without it?

What tools do i need to get it off?

    Thanks,

    Andy

i think you'll only need a 10mm socket you should be able to get it off? the only plus side to it is it transfers some heat back to the cylinder head wall as opposed to the rocker cover? so bear in mind youll need to get some high temp paint?
    hope this helpsfella
