Self respraying.

  1. #1
    Hey there

I currently own a white flatarch and I`ve seen one in town with colour coded side strips and I though it looked nice, so I will be spraying those soon.

Other things that I thoguh about is my front bumper and posibly back bumper.
As previous owner barely washed the car and cared about it the body is in the right mess!
    Pics will show you better:

As you can see its very bad! Not cared of at all...So my question is, can I take it off, sand, filler and spray with white polar cans until I can afford full car respray? Because the paint...
And it looks jsut sooo bad, I know the can spray is not a good idea for car spraying but it should be better than what it is now???

    Thanks in advance

P.S any adive on what could be done instead would be great, thanks!

The problem is, it looks very bad lol and I dont want a cheap respray when I get a proper respray and the amount of smoothing the body etc will be needed will cost another few hundred probably. So I though just for now it would be ok to make it cleaner and spray. not sure yet

Looks like the colour doesnt match a little But yeah its cool

If I get to do it then I deffinately not gonna rush it and leave it for a good time for drying.

    Thanks.

that doesnt look too bad for a diy job..apart from the colour match.

But...why is it fitting so poorly around the sides?? That would annoy me

Youve got nothing to lose i guess, could always go down a scrappy and try and get some cheap to spray?

Trust me annoys me as well it's because of the block of fibre glass used for the self tappers sticks out not allowing it to sit flush
