removing window tint

   hi people just wondering if anyone knows the best way to remove window tints ?

   see if you can find an edge that has come away from the window then just peel it off or use a stanley blade to cut it

   I've just dont mine the tint had been on a few years,
   
   nearly ALL of the sticky adhesive stayed stuck to the window once I'd rip the film away, not even white spirit would get it off so had to rub it down carefully with thinner.
   
   Best to use a stanley to cut out them hard to reach bits unless you are taking the window out to do it.

   Unless it's the glass that is tinted, in which case you will have to replace it

   peel and pull . thinners to remove sticky stuff thats left. worked for me. just make sure you got all the windows doors etc open when using that stuff. really strong smell comes from it. made me throw up lol.

   autoglym tar remover works well on the adhesive left behind when you remove the film

   try a hair dryer on them this heats the glue/ sticky stuff they use and its much easier to peel off that way and wont leave such a mess

   Dont try a hair dryer, you end up with shit all over the window.
   
   Start peeling it off in a corner, then pull it off as much as you can. dont worry about the shit left on the glass.
   
   Take a small bit of petrol on a rag and it wipes straight off.
